0:02:54.1 Sharon begins by talking about something Bev had taught her years ago, and it’s that a simple way to bring out people’s limiting beliefs and deep thoughts is to use the word “because,” to slow down and go deeper: okay, what’s the deeper reason? What is this about?
0:04:39.2 Now, Bev asks Sharon to name the diagnosis ─ dermatomyositis ─ and talk about what it was like.
0:08:49.5 After having to deal with what Sharon calls the “white coat authority,” the medical doctors who rely on medical knowledge and all the things that they know, Bev asks Sharon how she managed to navigate between that and her own voice from within.
Sharon goes through a beautiful explanation of the difference between knowing and believing ─ and that believing is where hope, prayer, thought, and faith live.
0:20:35.0 At this point, Bev asks Sharon to share some of the ways that she kept her hope and her good mood and how she used her skill in communication to support herself through her healing experience; and Sharon says that it’s always about moving forward so she would always use encouraging and positive words to herself and to others. Sharon also talks about the importance of having supportive family and friends.
0:24:41.1 Now, it’s Sharon’s turn to ask Bev to share her wisdom on how to tell people what you need in a positive supportive manner.
And a question which Bev usually asks someone on what they might need is “When you know that you are loved by me, how can you tell?”
She encourages us to be open as to how our loved ones can be supportive and loving.
0:36:02.1 Now, Bev asks Sharon to her learning experiences in her healing journey which includes having a team that listened to her ─ not always agree or disagree but really listen.
She also talks about a healthy lifestyle, sleep hygiene, diet and nutrition, being aware of the toxins we’re exposed to everyday, and learning to say “no.”
Sharon also tells us that having the show had a big role in her thriving. She says, “A big thing about healing is knowing you’re not alone.”
Finally, Bev tells us how we can get in touch with her.
