INTERVIEW HIGHLIGHTS
Sarah Peyton, a popular return guest and one of Sharon’s favorites, Sarah begins by touching a bit on our use of language and how it frames meaning, the way we use words in connection with ourselves and how much of what we say and how we say it is important.
0:05:27.9 This episode is devoted to the subject of anger ─ what it is, how repressed anger can affect us, and how to get rid of it; the importance of anger, “clean anger”; “anger that” instead of “anger at”; and what it does to our immune system if we have contracts that anger is off-limits “no matter the cost to myself”
0:14:58.7 At this point, Sarah walks Sharon through a process called “Time Travel Empathy” where they step through time and space to the original experience of receiving someone’s anger in order to process the “scary” memory and reclaim the positive life force of anger.
They also go through a process of acknowledging what needs to be acknowledged and releasing ourselves from unconscious contracts and sacred vows we’ve made to ourselves.
0:30:09.7 Now, they dig deeper into the distinction between “predatory aggression” and what anger is and discuss the important distinction between “anger that” and “anger at” citing examples and conversations to illustrate them.
