Today’s episode is all about self-love. The show begins with Shari talking about her book Love Yourself Happy and why she was motivated to write it.

They continue with a lengthy discussion on how to connect or reconnect with oneself especially when one is so busy that quiet time or stillness is something so difficult to achieve.

0:12:29.1 At this point, they start to delve more on the process of self-discovery to be able to get to a place of self-compassion and, eventually, self-love.

0:20:21.3 They share some personal insights on meditation as a tool to just “surrender and allow things to be.” They continue to talk about other things besides meditation as tools to truly get in touch with ourselves like journaling and just asking ourselves “What do you need from me? How can I show up for today? How can I love you more today?”

0:38:28.2 They defined surrender as breathing, lots of breathing. They talked about breathing as a miracle worker.

For some final thoughts, Shari emphasized again that’s self-love will carry us through everything. She encourages us to go easy on ourselves.
