Is HSP Causing Your Mystery Symptoms?

Listen to “Is HSP Causing Your Mystery Symptoms?” on Spreaker.

Clinical psychologist Elaine Aron developed the term Highly Sensitive Person (also known as an HSP) in the early 1990s. The phrase HSP describes a trait that refers to an overly-sensitive central nervous system and often manifests as an increased awareness of physical, emotional, and social stimuli.

In this episode, we welcome the author of ‘The Sensitive Ones,’ speaker, coach, and Empath Mama – Heather Nardi. Heather has dedicated her career to supporting highly sensitive and empath moms and moms with highly sensitive kids to live healthy, empowered lives. Heather shares with us her and her daughter’s journey of discovery plus
• How to own your needs, set boundaries, and focus lovingly less on others;
• How to cope with internal and external stimuli when it turns into added stress;
• How to stay grounded and build resilience and much more…

More about our Guest: Heather Nardi draws from her extensive education as a Holistic Life Coach and spiritual practitioner to create specialized tools and programs for sensitive moms and their kids. Her writing has appeared in The Highly Sensitive Refuge, Thrive Global, The Authority Magazine, Elephant Journal, and Medium. She is the author of ‘The Sensitive Ones,’ a memoir about her daughter’s mental illness and how it led them to understand that both mom and daughter are sensitive empaths. It set Heather on a journey of healing and parenting with a holistic and intuitive approach. ‘The Sensitive Ones’ is available at online booksellers. About Your Host, Sharon Sayler

Your host, Sharon Sayler is a certified executive and wellness coach, communications trainer, public speaker, best selling author, and the founder of Competitive Edge Communications who specializes in teaching professionals critical nonverbal and body language skills including how to have those critical “tough” conversations. She teaches how to up-your-impact on the stage, in the boardroom, with clients, customers, team members and even how to deal with difficult people.

Now, she's taken those skills, her passion for clear and competent communication, her own experience dealing with a rare medical condition and her frustration with the medical community in understanding what it is like to have a chronic and complicated medical condition to teach others to become courageous self-advocates so they too can turn life transitions into triumphs. One way she spreads the word is through the podcast and videocast called The Autoimmune Show: Inspiring hope and help for those with autoimmune.
